Wendy, I'll be interested to know what you think after - things have changed just a LITTLE bit in the marching band world since the 80's! The band dir. at Santaluces & I went to college together, he puts on a good show there. I would join you there but can't (plus I'm enjoying my first football season since '82 with no official marching band involvement...) Email me!

FBA Marching band competition is this saturday October 24th at Santaluces... I am going to take my daughter so she can see what the marching band thing is like. Should be fun. Anyone else going?

Wow, I played Flute in the 100 degree heat marching all over that field, we really had an awesome and huge band. I remember going to Miami "Orange Bowl" I think in my junior year to join all the other bands. It was fun going to and from in the buses and the late nights. Also, the uniforms down in that basement that fit...like nobody. Great memories and fun.

My daughter's middle school band has been invited to one of Jupiter High's football games to play. Today she pulled out this piece of music and said "mom, were supposed to learn this song called "The Horse"... Oh my gosh, does that bring back some memories! Too funny!

Hey ALL..I LOVE this site....I will have a pic. posted soon...I AM in facebook sooooo look me up..I would really like to "catch-up".... I have a daughter that plays flute,,other than that I live just south Of Jacksonville Florida and really close to a High School..Right about now is when I start hearing the drum-line and it brings back some GREAT memories....Mr. EEEEEEEEEEE what is Going ON!!

This is so cool. I drive by Central HS and hear the drums practicing and it makes me want to start again. I would be great to all get together for a reunion of just the band members. Do you guys remember the gummy bear family on the chalk board? Those were the days.
