The only people I have keep in touch with from TLHS were the kids in my neighborhood. Carole Updike ('82), Kim Kitchens, ('81) and Mel Kitchens ('86).
I did stay close with another friend from my neighborhood, Jackie Ellis. She went to Newman. We were friends with ballet in elem school. I stopped hanging around her in High School. She got wild. She was in a severe car crash in Junior College. I was the only friend that showed up in the hospital. She realized the error of her ways and got straight after that. We bacame close again. She was the only person in my wedding that was not family.
Sadly, she passed away in 2004 giving birth! The baby made it, but they couldn't stop the bleeding, all her systems shut down.
If you ever hear someone is using a mid wife TALK THEM OUT OF IT!!!!
Our business has slowed down, but we are hanging in there.
I haven't been doing much work. I have a neurological problem that makes me spin when I read. It is a timing problem with my brainstem & neurons. It has been getting worse the older I get. It actually started in 1982. They thought it was an inner ear problem. They thought I would out grow it. Oh well. I try not to dwell on it. There are people out there worse off than me.

Yes, mom & dad are still in WPB. We just had a 50th anniversary party for them in November. They are both cancer survivors. Mom had breast cancer and dad had colon cancer. Both are clear now.
My sister is in WPB as well, she has 3 kids. I get to spoil them like crazy.
I believe you had two sisters and a brother. How are they?

I finally found you! I've been searching for you on facebook. I can't believe you live in Port Charlotte. We were just vacationing in Cape Coral over the summer! I am so happy for you and John. 4 kids? That is great!
I met my husband Mike in 1988 at UF. We got married 2-22-92. We have no children, but our dog Pixie is close! After living in Philly from 93-99 we are back in Gainesville, FL. We own a wholesale screenprinting and embroidery shop.
