Wendy, I'll be interested to know what you think after - things have changed just a LITTLE bit in the marching band world since the 80's! The band dir. at Santaluces & I went to college together, he puts on a good show there. I would join you there…
FBA Marching band competition is this saturday October 24th at Santaluces... I am going to take my daughter so she can see what the marching band thing is like. Should be fun. Anyone else going?
Wow, I played Flute in the 100 degree heat marching all over that field, we really had an awesome and huge band. I remember going to Miami "Orange Bowl" I think in my junior year to join all the other bands. It was fun going to and from in the buses…
My daughter's middle school band has been invited to one of Jupiter High's football games to play. Today she pulled out this piece of music and said "mom, were supposed to learn this song called "The Horse"... Oh my gosh, does that bring back some m…

Hey Paul, Nice to hear from you. Sorry for the delay. I was away on biz from jan 28 to feb 16 and had no time for emails. Life is good for me. How about yourself? I am recently divorced, moving into a new home, expanding my biz, my kids are great and I am hoping to marry again soon. Too bad there is no 25ht reunion this year. That would have been fun.
Great to touch bases with you again Paul. Are you still drumming? Looks like your kids have picked up some of your talent. Both of my kids went to Bak.Great school and staff. My 2 kids went to Dreyfoos as well. It's fun to walk around some of the buildings I walked as a student and teacher so many years ago. Yes, I still have the Steel Drum Group. We are doing the pre-heat for Natalie Cole at the Kravis Center next Friday. That's always fun with 3 floors of people. They are always a great audience. Best wishes that your third gets into Bak. That leaves two more, right? You'll have your own family band!
That's OK... I still have lots of great memories from choir and I've been able to reconnect with quite a few of my friends via this website. It was "suggested" that I drop out of the choir by Dr. Shearin as Miss Carpenter and I had a run in.. long story... she was in the wrong and to keep from creating a scene I was asked to leave the choir and have limited contact with the students. It was a bummber as I love (and still do) to sing. Pass along my name to any of the choir members as I'd like to say hello. Thanks for thinking of me, though. BTW... tell Denise I say hello!
Taco!!! GREAT to hear from you and see you! You look great! I'll go look for the band group and join. Dude, 5 kids! You are brave! With all of your sisters, there must be tons of cousins for them to play with.
Hey Paul! Knew you from band. I played trombone with James Littles, Nancy Maas and Cheryl Mayo. I think I spent most my time in Marching band running laps though...lol
I had a huge pearl marching band drum I tried to convince my drummer to use as a kick! He didn't go for it! His wife isn't to hip on the idea of drums to begin with! I use to work at a music store and we sold Premiers for a long time! Since I quit they got into Yamahas...I designed the T-shirt for JDRF, it's the first picture on my photos...I also did the Float! Yeah, it was a hick town parade! Their idea of a float was a pick-up with a banner and lawn chairs in the bed! We had a lot of people defect to our float! Wait till they see next years! LOL!
